SPORTS MEDICINE AT NORTHWESTERN
The medical care and well-being of each Northwestern student-athlete is led by our Director of Intercollegiate Sports Medicine and Head Team Physician, Dr. Carrie Jaworski. Together with Tory Lindley, ATC, Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Athletic Training Services, the two direct an amazingly talented staff of sports medicine providers that includes: 4 Assistant Team Physicians, 8 staff certified athletic trainers, 2 physical therapists/ certified athletic trainers, 4 intern certified athletic trainers and over 20 students seeking careers in the healthcare industry.
Northwestern student-athletes also benefit from ancillary healthcare providers in fields such as sports psychology, sport nutrition and manipulative medicine. They also have access to many world-renowned medical specialists located right here within the Northwestern medical community should the need arise.
