EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern earned NCAA Division I All-Academic Team with Distinction honors for the 2007-08 academic year. The Wildcats ranked sixth among the 10 Big Ten teams that earned the award.
In order to receive the accolade, a school's team roster must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 during the fall term. A team may be designated an All-Academic Cross Country Team with Distinction if its cumulative GPA is 3.25 or higher. Northwestern's cumulative GPA was 3.36.
An institution must also have competed and scored at the NCAA regional meet to be considered for the award.
