EVANSTON, Ill.--Members of the Northwestern cross country team took part in the Chicagoland Trak & Field Championships in Romeoville, Ill. Friday evening. The Wildcats took part in the 1-mile, the 3000 meter and the distance medley running events only.

In the 1-mile event, Alyssa Urish led the Wildcats with a 10th place finish with a time of 5:43.01, followed closely by Jessica Anderson with a 12th place finish of 5:45.78. Marcellee Fullwood and Lauren Cousert finished 21st and 22nd, respectively.

Next was the 3000 meter run where freshman Carly Brown led three Wildcats in the top 10 with a seventh place finish (10:57.07). Triphena Wong was eighth with a time of 11:01.53 while Mallory O'Niel was ninth with a time of 11:04.43.

Julia Fraser finished 27th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:43.70.

The Wildcats also took part in the distance medley with a sixth place finish of 13:43.87.
