MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. -- Northwestern finished 27th in the 2005 Griak Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24. It was the 20th running of the renown event, and featured the largest number of participants -- ranging from Division I to high school runners.

Freshman Carly Brown (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead) was the top finisher for the Wildcats running the 6k in 23:22. Fellow classmate Allison King (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) was NU's runner-up with a time of 23:43.

Sophomore Marie Grabinski (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) placed third for NU, crossing the line at 23:46, followed by freshman Hilary Forman (Prairie Village, Kan./Pembroke) with a time of 23:51.
