EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern volleyball has announced its 2005 spring schedule, which features a training trip to Florida over spring break before returning to the Midwest for a series of tournaments.

The Wildcats will travel to Tampa, Fla. during Northwestern University's spring break to train before finishing the trip south by playing in a tournament at the University of South Florida.

Head Coach Keylor Chan and his team will then make their way back to the Chicago area for three more tournaments to finish the spring season. Northwestern will be one of 16 teams from around the Midwest to compete in The Palos Courts Tournament in Evergreen Park, Ill. April 2nd.

Two weeks later, local rival Loyola of Chicago is also hosting a 16-team tournament that the Wildcats will compete in on April 16th. The `Cats will then wrap up spring competition April 23rd at the University of of Minnesota. There, Northwestern will play the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the host-Golden Gophers.

March 26th - University of South Florida
April 2nd - Palos Courts Tournament
April 16th - Three Wiseman Tournament @ Loyola University in Chicago
April 23rd - University of Minnesota Tournament -
vs. Nebraska @ 2 p.m., vs. Minnesota @ 6 p.m.
