Jan. 20, 2008 EVANSTON, Ill. -- Three quick singles victories clinched No. 7 Northwestern's victory over No. 15 William & Mary, which finished in a 7-0 rout on Sunday at the Combe Tennis Center. Sophomores Samantha Murray (Altrincham, England/Altrincham Grammar) and Lauren Lui (Houston, Texas/Kinkaid) defeated William & Mary's No. 3 and No. 5 players, respectively, early in the singles portion. The two wins put the 'Cats up 3-0 after sweeping the doubles. Junior Nazlie Ghazal (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) clinched the Wildcats' win shortly after with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4. Both top-10 ranked 'Cats went into superbreakers after the match was already clinched at 5-0. No. 2 Maria Mosolova (Moscow, Russia) crushed No. 12 Megan Moulton-Levy in the superbreaker and won the match 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3). No. 9 Georgia Rose (Mettawa, Ill./North Shore Country Day) easily won her first set, but fell in the second and then won the superbreaker 10-6.
