Top-Seeded Wildcats Open 2008 NCAA Tournament Hosting Notre Dame Sunday
Top-seeded Northwestern begins its quest for a fourth-straight national championship hosting Notre Dame at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 11. The Wildcats are 13-1 in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championships under head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller, marking the all-time best winning percentage.

Junor Meredith Frank and the Wildcats are the number one overall seed in the 2008 NCAA Womens Lacrosse Championship.

Senior Christy Finch joins Hannah Nielsen as two of the five finalists for the 2008 Tewaaraton Trophy.

Senior Christy Finch and junior Hannah Nielsen were named as two of the five finalists for the 2008 Tewaaraton Trophy presented by Warrior. The trophy, given to the nation's top lacrosse player, is the most prestigious award in the sport.

Sophomore Katrina Dowd and the rest of the top-seeded Wildcats will face Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Northwestern begins the hunt for its fourth-straight national championship, earning the number one overall seed heading into the 2008 NCAA tournament. The Wildcats drew a familiar foe in the first round, getting a rematch with Notre Dame Sunday at Lakeside Field.
