LINCOLN, Neb. -- Through two rounds, senior Elizabeth Burden (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) is tied for 48th place at the NCAA Central Regional Championships, being held at the Firethorn Golf Club (par 71, 6,033 yards).

The 21 teams and three individual qualifiers were forced to play two rounds today after rain washed out the first 18 holes, scheduled for Thursday. The third and final round is slated for Saturday.

Burden shot a 6-over-77 for the first 18 holes before finishing the day with an 8-over 79. She fired a birdie on her third hole of the day, but then had to settle for pars or bogeys on all but one of the remaining 33 holes.

California's Vikki Laing (-2) leads the 108-player field by a stroke over Wisconsin's Katie Connelly.

In the team competition, the Cal Golden Bears have an 11-stroke lead over Kent State. The next six teams are Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida and Wisconsin. The top eight teams advance to nationals.
