GREENVILLE, S.C.-- Rounds of 309, 311 and 310 led Northwestern to a ninth-place finish at the 37th annual Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course on Sunday. The Wildcats were the tournament's defending champion.

Junior Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) cut seven strokes off her second-round total and shot a 2-over 74 on Sunday, which gave her a team-best 17th-place finish and a 14-over 230 (75-81-74).

Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) and Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) both placed 34th with 18-over 234's. After opening with a 12-over 84 on Friday, Trachok finished with rounds of 73 and 77, while Lederhausen carded rounds of 76, 78 and 80.

Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) improved by four strokes from Saturday to Sunday and finished 68th with a 25-over 241 (79-83-79). Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) finished one stroke back of Johnston with a 26-over 242 (79-79-84) and placed 73rd.

Justina Yu (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman), who was competing as an individual, placed 49th with a 21-over 237 (78-80-79).

TCU shot a three-day total of 896 to win the 18-team Invitational ahead of Notre Dame, East Tennessee State, UNC Wilmington and Louisville.

NU plays again at the Ann Rhodes Intercollegiate on Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
