DUBLIN, Ohio -- Playing in its final regular-season tournament of the year, Northwestern finished ninth at the 15-team Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, which was held at The Golf Club of Dublin and hosted by Ohio State.

The Wildcats turned in a 41-over 905 (300-305-300) and placed ahead of four other Big Ten teams -- Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Minnesota. Auburn and Florida placed one-two, while Purdue was the top Big Ten finisher in third place.

Junior Alice Kim (Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood) registered her seventh top-20 effort of the season with an 11th-place finish. She carded a 4-over 220 (71-76-73) for the three rounds.

Sophomore Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) turned in her best effort of the spring with a 24th-place finish. She totaled an 8-over 224 (73-73-74).

Junior Heather Scholten (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) and freshman Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) each carded a 15-over 231 for a 53rd-place finish. Sophomore Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) placed 73rd with a 30-over 246 (78-88-80).

The Wildcats start conference tournament play on Friday at the Big Ten Championships, which are being hosted by Indiana University.
