WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Northwestern's women's golf team endured a rough second round on Saturday at the Lady Boilermaker Invitational and fell from sixth to 13th place in the team standings.

After one round, the Wildcats were in sixth place (313, 25-over), 15 strokes behind 10th-ranked Tennessee, the tourney leader. But in the second round, NU fired a 332 (44-over) and dropped into last place.

Sophomore Ina Kim (Encino, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) helped keep the Wildcats among the leaders in the early going after shooting a season-best par-72 in the opening round. Kim then cooled off, however, shooting a 13-over 85 for the second 18 holes.

Kim is tied for 27th place (72-85=157) in the individual standings with teammate Elizabeth Burden (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest). Burden carded rounds of 75 and 82 for her 13-over 157.

The final round begins at 8 a.m. Sunday.
