EVANSTON, Ill. -- Senior Candice Cooper (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) and sophomore Meghan Small (Macungie, Pa./Moravian Academy) have been named to the All-Big Ten second team by a vote of the conference coaches.

The nod is the second for Cooper, who was also a second-team selection last season. It is Small's first such honor.

Cooper, the 10th-best all-time scorer in Northwestern history, currently has 19 goals on the season -- the ninth-best total in the nation. Her 42 points this year ranks her 15th in the country. She previously earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring eight goals in three games, including back-to-back hat tricks against Ohio and Fairfield.

Small earned the conference's first Offensive Player of the Week award after scoring both goals in NU's season-opening, 2-1 overtime victory against James Madison. She is the Wildcats' second-leading scorer with 11 points on the year.
