McCollum Announces Seven Members of 2011 Class
Feb. 13, 2007 EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head field hockey coach Kelly McCollum has announced that six student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent and one has accepted an offer of admission, rounding the Wildcats' seven-member class of 2011. "Our staff and players are extremely excited about the talented group of student-athletes joining our Northwestern field hockey family," McCollum said. "Their tremendous energy and competitive fight will immediately complement the strength of our program. I am continually impressed by the student-athletes who choose the rigorous challenge of a Northwestern education and Big Ten athletics. The Northwestern field hockey program prides itself on its tradition and recruiting is an integral part of continuing that tradition. We expect great things from the class of 2011." This year's class brings a wealth of offensive knowledge, as five of the seven have extensive experience playing on club teams. Four class members hail from the Midwest, while two are Pennsylvania natives and one comes to Evanston from New York. Below is a complete rundown of the class of 2011.
