EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern's women's fencing team will be represented by four individuals at the 2008 NCAA Championships to be held March 13-16 in Columbus, Ohio.

Junior Sam Nemecek (Caledonia, Mich.) and sophomore Christa French (Southlake, Texas/Carroll) qualified for the NCAA meet, while sophomore Joanna Niklinska (Granger, Ind./Penn) and senior Natalie Wang (Milpitas, Calif./Presentation) were at-large selections.

Nemecek and Wang will compete in the foil, while Niklinska and French will participate in the epee.

Nemecek is a two-time All-American, placing eighth as a freshman and seventh a year ago as a sophomore. French earned All-America honors in 2007 as well, finishing sixth.

NU's women placed seventh as a team at last year's NCAA meet.
