NEW YORK -- Northwestern notched a 3-3 record against a challenging field Saturday at the NYU Duals. Ranked sixth nationally, each of the Wildcats' three losses came to the top three teams in the USFCA Coaches Poll.

NU's record now stands at 19-3 on the season.

Northwestern opened the day by suffering a close 15-12 loss to second-ranked Columbia before bouncing back with a 20-7 victory over Yale.

The Wildcats then were defeated by top-ranked Notre Dame 15-12 and No. 3 Ohio State 18-9. However, NU wrapped up the competition with an 18-9 win over Wayne State and a convincing 24-3 defeat of host NYU.

The Wildcats will return to action next Saturday and Sunday when it hosts the NU Duals at SPAC.
