IPFW Game Notes Get Acrobat Reader

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Wildcats have posted two impressive victories in their first two outings of the 2009-10 campaign, defeating Mid-American Conference foe Toledo, 73-64, on the road and dominating Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, 68-37, Friday evening at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Next up for the Wildcats (2-0) in their "five games in eight day marathon" is IPFW, who enters the game with a record of 1-1. Tip is set for 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon from Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Following Sunday's match-up, Northwestern hosts intra-city rival DePaul on Tuesday, Nov. 24 before breaking for the holiday. Play resumes on Friday, Nov. 27 when NU hosts the 26th annual DoubleTree White Invitational featuring College of Charleston, Iowa State and Penn. The 'Cats battle College of Charleston in the second game on Friday before facing Penn at approx. 4 p.m. Saturday. The College of Charleston game will be carried live on the Big Ten Network.

LAST TIME OUT...
Northwestern took a 10-8 advantage on an early layup by junior Amy Jaeschke and never relinquished the lead, defeating Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 68-37 Friday evening at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Jaeschke recorded her first double-double of the season--tallying 16 points and 15 rebounds--and freshman Dannielle Diamant followed suit, notching a career-best 17 points and 10 boards.
