MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Northwestern fell to Minnesota, 71-33, Sunday afternoon at Williams Arena. Ifeoma Okonkwo (Spring, Texas/Klein Oak) led NU with a game-high 12 points while Melissa Miller (Bloomington, Minn./The Breck School) pulled down a team-high five rebounds.

"We didn't come ready to play today," head coach Beth Combs said. "We need to regroup and focus on taking the first game in the Tournament."

It was the 12th time this season Okonkwo has led NU, and the 17th time she has scored in double-figures.

Also on Sunday, Northwestern announced 2005-06 team awards. Here are the winners as determined by the coaching staff:

Tips: Sara Stutz
Steals: Ifeoma Okonkwo
Loose Balls: Ifeoma Okonkwo
Rebounds: Ifeoma Okonkwo
Assists: Nadia Bibbs

Northwestern, the 10th seed in the Big Ten Tournament, will play seventh-seeded Illinois on Thursday, March 2, immediately following the 2 p.m. CST contest (approximately 4:30 p.m. CST).
