EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern lost to No. 18 Wisconsin 24-13 Sunday at Welsh-Ryan Arena. Despite the loss, Mike Kimberlin (Bradley, Ill./Bishop McNamara) and Matt Delguyd (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield) picked up wins for NU. Kimberlin is a team-best 23-10 at 157 pounds and Delguyd owns a 19-13 record at 197 pounds.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 7-3 lead after Kimberlin and Jason Erwinski (Tinley Park, Ill./Mt. Carmel) won back-to-back matches. But the Badgers won four of the next five to take a 21-10 lead.

Jon Ott (Chesterfield, Mo./DeSmet Jesuit) cut the deficit to 21-13 with a 7-3 win against Tony Turner, but UW's Tyler Laudon defeated John Giacche (Flemington, N.J./Blair Academy) 9-7 in overtime to close out the match.

With the loss, NU dropped to 5-6 and 0-2 in the Big Ten. Northwestern returns to action Feb. 1 at Michigan.
