EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) is swimming in four events at the Eighth Annual FINA Short Course World Championships April 5-9 in Shanghai, China.

Fresh off his second-consecutive NCAA Championship in the 100-yard backstroke, Grevers will compete in the 50-meter fly, the 50- and 100-meter backstroke and the 100-meter IM.

The events will take place at Qizhong Stadium in Shanghai. At the conclusion of the meet, the delegation will take a two-day side trip to Beijing to tour the Olympic venue and get a feel for the city.

Grevers, a 21-time All-American in just three seasons, is one of 26 members on the USA team, and one of 13 men on the squad. To view the complete USA team roster in .pdf format, click here.

The Short Course World Championships will be broadcast via the Internet for the first time this year. For $19.99, fans can have access to the entire meet, including prelims and finals. They can watch it live, or there will be an archive to watch it later as well.
