COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Northwestern divers Mike Oxman (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) and Alex Kiaie (Milwaukee, Wis./Nicolet) competed in NCAA Zone C competition over the weekend. While neither diver advanced to the NCAA Championships, both did turn in solid performances.

Oxman saved his best effort for the final event, qualifying first for the finals of the platform after scoring a 365.05 during the prelims. The senior ended up third after posting a 703.45 overall score.

Oxman also competed in the 1-meter, finishing 21st.

Kiaie took 29th in the 1-meter event and 31st on the 3-meter board.

A formula based on results for all three events is used to determine who advances to the NCAA Championships, leaving Oxman out despite his third-place finish. Five men's divers from Zone C moved on.
