Season Recap: Northwestern Turns Small Numbers into Big Success
The 2007-08 season proved Northwestern still has what it takes to dominate the pool despite graduating the two best swimmers in school history last spring. Led by seniors Kyle Bubolz (Waukesha, Wisc./Waukesha North) and Bruno Barbic (Zagreb, Croatia/V. Gimnazija), the Wildcats turned in solid efforts throughout their dual and championship meet campaigns and took 12th place at the NCAA Championships with a four-man contingent. |

Northwestern Vaults Three Spots, Finishes 12th at NCAA Championships
Northwestern earned six more All-America honors Saturday during the final day of the NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash., using a stellar performance in the 400 free relay to vault three places and finish 12th in the nation. Senior Bruno Barbic (pictured) helped the Wildcats to their fifth-consecutive 12th-place or better finish in the nation with a pair of All-America efforts on Saturday. |

Kyle Bubolz Finishes Fourth in 100 Fly at NCAA Championships
Senior Kyle Bubolz (pictured) matched his career-best finish of fourth place in the 100 fly Saturday at the NCAA Championships, breaking his own school record with a 45.74 in the finals to earn 15 points for Northwestern, helping the Wildcats to 15th place in the meet after two days of competition. |
