EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Gerardo Alvarez and senior Jeremy Cook have been named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team.

Alvarez, who was recognized as the Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year, tallied the game-winning goal against second-seeded Michigan in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. Cook played a crucial role in holding the usually potent Wolverine attack to just one goal.

Alvarez finished the season with 23 points, the most by any freshman in NU history. In addition to the co-freshman of the year honor, Alvarez was named second team all-Big Ten and was a Big Ten all-freshman team as well.

Cook, meanwhile, finished his career with 57 consecutive starts after walking on to the team during his freshman year.
