Lenahan Adds One to Class of '10
April 25, 2006 EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern Head Men's Soccer Coach Tim Lenahan has announced future Wildcat Drew Pavlovich (Leawood, Kan./Rockhust) has accepted an offer of admission and will join the team for the 2006 season. "Drew has a very good soccer I.Q. and is a great competitor," Lenahan said. "He comes from a great high school program that has produced some excellent college players." Pavlovich led Rockhurst High school to four-straight state final four appearances and one state championship match. He is a two-time all-state center defender who garnered All-West Region, Kansas City Star All-Metro team and All-West Region Defensive Player of the Year honors his senior year. While his defensive skills have been widely recognized, he is a threat on offensive end as well, scoring 20 goals and dishing 30 assists during his four-year varsity career. Pavlovich brings leadership to the class of '10 as well, as he was named team captain during his junior and senior seasons. "His high school coach feels that he was among their most valuable players the past few seasons," Lenahan said. "He has a lot of the intangibles that help separate those who succeed in college from those who do not." In club play, Pavlovich helped lead the KCFC Allliance to four state championships and two regional semifinal appearances during his time with the team. In the classroom, Pavlovich is a National Honor Society member, a 2005 Washington University (St. Louis) Book Award winner, 2003 Biology Award winner and four-year honor roll student.
His anticipated major at Northwestern is economics.
