Oct. 18, 2007

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University's Director of Athletics Mark Murphy announced today that Pat Goss has been named the Director of Golf, effective immediately.

Goss, who has been the head men's coach since 1997 and recently guided the Wildcats to his 22nd tournament title, will now have overall responsibility and oversight of both the men's and women's golf programs.

Chris Regenberg announced last month that she is stepping down as the head women's golf coach at the end of the 2007-08 season. A search for Regenberg's replacement will commence in the spring.
