EVANSTON, Ill. -- For the second straight Monday, junior quarterback C.J. Bachér (Sacramento, Calif./Jesuit) has picked up Big Ten Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after guiding Northwestern to another overtime victory. Bachér is sharing this week's Big Ten honor with Michigan State's Javon Ringer.

In addition to his Big Ten honor, Bachér was named one of the four AT&T All-America Player of the Week award nominees for a second straight week.

Bachér, who was coming off a school-record 520-yard passing and 5-TD performance against Michigan State, had quite an encore on Saturday vs. Minnesota. He completed a career-best 41-of-58 passes for 470 yards, 4 TD's, no interceptions and also scored a rushing TD as he led the Wildcats back from a 35-14 deficit to win 49-48 in double overtime. It was Northwestern's second-straight overtime victory.

His 990 combined passing yards ranks second all-time in Big Ten history behind Purdue's Drew Brees who totaled 1,016 yards in successive games in 1998.

Bachér joins Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm, Air Force running back Chad Hall and Houston wide receiver Donnie Avery for this week's AT&T All-America honor. Fans can vote for C.J. here. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. EST with the winner announced Oct. 18 during Thursday's ESPN College Football Primetime game (South Florida vs. Rutgers).
