EVANSTON, Ill. -- Fans can meet former Wildcat greats Steve Schnur and Matt Grevers Saturday, Oct. 18, at Northwestern's homecoming football game against Purdue! Back-to-back Big Ten champion quarterback Schnur and three-time Olympic medalist swimmer Matt Grevers will be on hand to sign autographs on Walker Terrace.

In addition to greeting fans at the football game, Grevers will be serving as the 2008 Homecoming parade grand marshal. Grevers, who graduated in 2007 and won four national championships while a Wildcat, won two gold medals and a silver at the Beijing Olympic Games.

The Wildcats have created new discounted ticket offers to complement fan-favorite promotional days to reward our fans in 2008. In addition to admission into the game, the Wildcat gamedays have even more to offer, including Walk With Us, Wildcat Alley, Walker Terrace and autograph sessions with former Wildcat players.

All fans who attend the Wildcat home games also have the chance to win incredible prizes from U.S. Cellular, Lou Malnati's, ESPN Zone, Chipotle, Bank of America, Impact Networking, Goose Island, AthletiCo, Vienna Beef and more. The season-long search for the Wildcat MVP is sponsored by U.S. Cellular, where one lucky fans will sit in the luxurious stadium club with three guests for U.S. Cellular Day against Illinois on November 22. The winner will have a VIP tour before the game, will be named the honorary captain, will receive Wildcat gear and more! Steve Schnur, quarterback of NU's back-to-back Big Ten title teams in 1995-96 will sign autographs for fans during NU's homecoming game Saturday against Purdue.


At all home games fans can enter to win an autographed Coach Fitzgerald football and can be part of the in-game contests to win discounted concessions, coupons for specially priced Create-A-Cats, an official football team photo, personal pan Lou Malnati's pizza and Chipotle burrito coupons when you beat Wildcat coaches in a modified game of bean bags during halftime.

October 18 vs. Purdue at 11 a.m.

• Homecoming and Hall of Fame Day
NU alums will be returning to campus to cheer on the Wildcats, as well as be part of our celebration of Pat Fitzgerald's induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. The first 15,000 fans into the game will receive a Pat Fitzgerald "Fitz Fan".

November 8 vs. Ohio State (SOLD OUT)

• Bank of America Day
Northwestern and Bank of America will give away 10,000 commemorative Pat Fitzgerald College Football Hall of Fame coin.

November 22 vs. Illinois

• Youth Football Day
Youth football teams can purchase half-price end zone tickets ($18), will have their team included in the welcome message on the video board and the team that brings the largest group will have its picture taken on the field during the game. Tickets must be purchased in advance, so if you qualify for this discount please e-mail wildcatmarketing@northwestern.edu to receive the special promotional code to order your tickets today!

• U.S. Cellular Day
The first 12,500 fans into the game will receive a Wildcat knit hat compliments of U.S. Cellular and Motorola.

Single-Game Ticket Information
Single game tickets for all 2008 home games are on sale now and can be ordered by calling 847.491.CATS, visiting the Wildcats' online ticket office, or calling Ticketmaster. They may also be purchased in person at the Ryan Field Ticket Office at 1501 Central Street in Evanston. Single-game ticket prices are $50 for the four Big Ten games (Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio State, and Illinois). Northwestern has reduced- price $35 seats for Michigan State, Purdue and Illinois only. No reduced-price seats will be sold for the Ohio State game.

Group Ticket Information
For groups of 50 or more, they can purchase sideline seats at half-price, which is only $25 for conference games. NOTE: Group rate not available for the Nov. 8 Ohio State game. Group ticket benefits include: reserved block seating, group message on the scoreboard, exclusive group merchandise drawings, and five game day programs. Group tickets must be purchased in advance.

Game Day Traditions

• Wildcat Alley
This pregame fan fest area opens two hours before every home game and is located just steps north of Ryan Field. Fans can enjoy food, games, entertainment, music, face-painting and much more. Admission is free for everyone and is made possible with the support of Northwestern Athletics and Goose Island Pub.

• Walk With Us
Honor late head coach Randy Walker by joining the band, cheerleaders, Willie the Wildcat and other Wildcat fans on Walker Way two-and-a-half hours before the game to greet the team when they arrive at Ryan Field. Plus, this is your chance to catch the official Walk with Us t-shirt from the cheerleaders!

• Walker Terrace
Stop by this mini-Wildcat Alley that is open at the start of the game and shuts down when the game ends. Walker Terrace features interactive games, concession stands, a unique view of the game, face painting and more. Plus, at halftime Wildcat coaches compete against fans in the Chipotle Challenge, which means you could win Chipotle burritos if you beat our coaches in the bean bag toss!
