EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has named senior C.J. Bachér (Sacramento, Calif./Jesuit), senior Prince Kwateng (Munster, Ind./Munster), senior Eric Peterman (Sherman, Ill./Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin) and junior Brendan Smith (Andover, Mass./New Hampton Prep (N.H.)) its captains for the 2008 season, head coach Pat Fitzgerald announced today (August 22).

The four were chosen for the honor by their teammates. The quartet leads Northwestern into its season opener at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, against Syracuse at Ryan Field.

Fans can meet the new captains and other Wildcats at Meet the Team Night beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Aug. 22, on Randy Walker Terrace inside Ryan Field. In the new format of the annual Meet the Team Night, fans will have more chances to hang out with the members of the team. It will feature insight for the season directly from Coach Fitzgerald, games with the team and pictures with the your favorite Wildcats. Admission is free!
