EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's 2007 Wildcat Football Meet the Team Night begins at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, August 25. Stop by Randy Walker Terrace inside Ryan Field to meet Wildcat Head Football Coach Pat Fitzgerald and the entire 2007 Wildcat football team.

Admission is free and beverages will be served compliments of Goose Island. Be sure to bring your camera to get pictures with your favorite Wildcats. Fans also will have the chance to ask Coach Fitzgerald questions about the upcoming season.

Northwestern also will welcome Big Ten Network President Mark Silverman. At 3:30 p.m., all season ticket holders are invited to a reception, hosted by Silverman, in the Stadium Club to get the latest news on the Big Ten Network. The new Network launches at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30. Silverman also will be on hand at NU's Meet the Team Night to talk to fans and answer questions.

In addition, the Wildcat volleyball team is hosting the Chicago Challenge featuring UIC, DePaul and Loyola at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The first match of the day begins at 4:30 p.m., so come early to enjoy a full day of Wildcat athletics. Plus, meet the Wildcat women's volleyball team!

• Season ticket holders will be invited on the field to sing the fight song and then videotaped. These clips will then be included in a video montage that will be played on the videoboard during football games throughout the season.
