Jack Glowik is in his seventh season at NU and his 15th under Randy Walker. Glowik is in his fourth season as the tight ends/H-backs coach. Prior to that, he served as Walker's defensive line coach, mentoring NFL players Dwayne Missouri and Napoleon Harris.

Glowik was an original member of Walker's staff at Miami, and he coached at his alma mater for nine seasons. During his tenure at Miami, Glowik tutored 13 first or second-team All-MAC defensive linemen.

Glowik earned four letters at middle guard at Miami. During Glowik's tenure, Miami captured three MAC Championships, two Tangerine Bowl titles and enjoyed a four-year record of 34-10-1.

As a senior, he was voted Miami and MAC Defensive Player of the Year. His defensive statistics included 111 solo tackles and 185 total stops, 19 tackles for loss, five pass deflections and two fumble recoveries. Considered one of the finest defensive linemen ever to play for Miami, Glowik was inducted into the Miami Hall of Fame in 1998.

Glowik, who turns 48 in May, began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Miami during the 1978-79 seasons, then served as an assistant coach from 1980-82.

Glowik then went to North Carolina State, serving as defensive line coach for the Wolfpack from 1983-84.

He returned to coaching in 1987 as outside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Youngstown State. In 1988-89, Glowik was the defensive line coach for Ohio University.

Glowik graduated from Miami in 1978 with a degree in education. He lives with his wife, Beth, and his two daughters, Kelsey and Haley, in Evanston.
