Fan Advisory: NU Ticket Policy for Men's Basketball NIT Announced
March 8, 2004 EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's basketball team will be taking it one game at a time this weekend in Indianapolis at the Big Ten Tournament, but we know that the 'Cats can still become NIT-eligible with a pair of wins. With that in mind, we wanted to give you, the fans, a heads-up on ticket information if the possibility becomes a reality! We have established a Postseason Hotline to help answer any questions you may have if the team becomes NIT-eligible, and we will update the hotline as we receive new information. The number is (847) 467-1300 and will begin working at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 15 if the team still has postseason aspirations.
NATIONAL INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT In the event the men's basketball team receives an invitation to participate in the N.I.T., and Northwestern University is selected to host, the sale date will depend upon the date of the game and when it is confirmed that Northwestern is hosting. The sale dates and times will be on the Postseason Hotline (847-467-1300) and will be sent to the media. NUsports.com will also have the latest and most up-to-date information.

Monday, March 15, 2004 (NU receives word it will host an N.I.T. game)
Tuesday, March 16, 2004 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. -- Student Ticket Sale, $7 (limit 4 with 4 student WildCards) 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.* -- Public Ticket Sale, $16 (walk-up, telephone, online) *After 4:30, tickets will move to the Welsh-Ryan ticket office and be available beginning at 5:30 p.m.
