EVANSTON, Ill. - Mark your calendars for the first weekend in October as Northwestern baseball is planning its 8th annual golf/football outing. The festivities begin on the third, as participants will test their golf game at Wilmette Golf Club. On the fourth, everyone is invited to attend a Big Ten football game as Northwestern hosts Minnesota at Ryan Field. The fun doesn't end there, as former players and coaches, along with other attendees will test their power in a home run hitting contest and attend NU's annual baseball alumni game.

Things have changed a little this season. The golf outing has been moved closer to home and will be played in Wilmette, Ill. The golf course is located on Lake Avenue at Wilmette golf course.

Tailgating and the football game will highlight Saturday's (Oct. 4) festivities.

On Sunday, the weekend concludes with a home-run hitting contest, which was won by Matt Huff in 2002. Following the long-ball exhibition, former players will test their skills in NU's annual alumni vs. 2004 Wildcats.

Further information will be mailed out to Bullpen members at a later date.

Any questions and early sign-ups can contact assistant coach Tim Stoddard at; tstod@northwestern.edu or you can call 847-491-4651.

Costs in the tournament are as follows:
$250 Per Player
$900 Per Foursome
$250 To become a hole sponsor.

Thanks for following the Northwestern baseball team on the Internet and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.
