RICHMOND, Va. - Freezing cold temperatures in the Richmond, Va., area has caused baseball officials to cancel Northwestern's final game vs. Virginia Commonwealth. The nine-inning affair was set to begin at 10:30 a.m. (ET), but a temperature in the mid-teen's was deemed too cold for play.

The Wildcats and Rams split a pair of games Friday and Saturday.

NU is next in action when they travel to Louisville, Ky., for a three-game set vs. the University of Louisville next weekend. Game one is set for noon on Saturday at Patterson Stadium (2,500).
