Wildcats Hold Off Indiana 8-5 in Series Opener
Southpaw Eric Jokisch set a Northwestern freshman record with his seventh win of the season and Tommy Finn and Nate Roberts had three hits apiece as the Wildcats held on to defeat Indiana 8-5 in the series opener between the teams Friday afternoon at Rocky Miller Park. |

Goebbert, Kalina Named to Academic All-District First Team
Northwestern sophomore infielder Jake Goebbert and senior outfielder Mike Kalina have each been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District V First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). By virtue of their first-team selections, both individuals are now eligible for Academic All-America consideration. |

Wildcats Close Out Home Season Against Indiana
Northwestern closes out its 2008 home season this weekend as it takes on surging Indiana at Rocky Miller Park. The series gets underway at 3 p.m. Friday. Saturday's doubleheader starts at 1 p.m. Sunday's Senior Day contest is also set for at 1 p.m. start. Sunday's game is being televised on a same-day, tape-delay basis on Big Ten Network. |
