Oct. 13, 2008 EVANSTON, Ill. -- Last weekend was the first part of the fall Wildcat Women's Sport Weekend. It included t-shirt giveaways and activities at field hockey and women's soccer contests. The first part of the Fall Wildcat Women's Sport Weekend included the Wildcat Field Hockey team facing a fierce #3 Wake Forest team. Though the game did not go the way of the Wildcats, fans had a great time cheering on the 'Cats and more than 75 fans took home the popular Wildcat Women Sport Weekend t-shirts made available through the generosity of the N Club. The Wildcat Women's Soccer game was highlighted by a group of youth soccer players who travelled from Fox River Grove to be a part of the action and be featured in a halftime scrimmage. All youth soccer players in attendance were able to line-up on the field for starting lineups and the anthem and many fans won the sought after N Club t-shirts at halftime. Not only did the Women's Soccer team put on a show defeating Indiana 2-1 with three minutes left in the game, the team hosted a mini-clinic after the game. More than 30 kids participated in the clinic and autograph session, and everyone left with a smile and a new NU t-shirt. The Fall Wildcat Women's Sport Weekend presented by the N Club will continue with the Wildcat Volleyball home series on November 14 and 15. Click Here for all the details. |
